What To Pack For An All Inclusive Vacation

It’s been a few months since my vacation to Jamaica and we had a blast! I love to travel! My husband and are beginning to stamp up or passports and we are so excited! It was my second time, and my husbands first tie staying at an all-inclusive resort. I’ve been on a cruise but staying at an all-inclusive is so different but soooo worth it in my opinion! We stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall one of the BEST resorts in Jamaica and it was absolutely perfect! Packing for my first all-inclusive trip was a challenge because I didn’t know what to expect or bring, but this time around I knew just what I needed! So I thought I would share with you all what you need to pack for an all-inclusive vacation!

What to pack for an all inclusive resort

What To Pack For An All Inclusive Vacation

The Essentials

Passport: This should be a no-brainer but hey some people forget. Please don’t forget your passport!

Cash: Your stay is all-inclusive, but this does not include tipping the staff that will help you throughout your stay. You will also want to have some cash on hand if you plan on going on any excursions or leaving the resort to shop.

Credit Card: Make sure you check your card’s international policy. I have Chase as my bank and they told me that I would not be able to use my card in Jamacia because of the heightened level of fraud.

Pro Tip: You should definitely pack at least one days worth of clothes in your carry on luggage. If you can’t check into your hotel right away, this helps because you can just go chill at the pool until your room is ready.

Beach Wear

What to pack for an a

Swimsuits: I recommend taking at least 3-4 swimsuits. You will most likely be on the beach or at the pool most days. I purchased all my swimsuits from Amazon!! Girl, their swimsuit game is kind of nice so check them out especially for the fast shipping.

Cover-Ups: 3-4 Coverups should be enough. I bought a really cute coverup from Fashion Nova. The other days I wore shorts and kimonos and also beach dresses are good choices. At the restaurants, you need to make sure you have some kind of cover-up on when utilizing the restaurants.

Sunglasses: This is what you don’t want to forget! I pack mine in a case so that they are not broken or just put them in my carry on bag. Trust me you will want these for your beach vacation!

Sunscreen: Don’t forget the sunscreen! This item costs more on the resort (as most items are) so make sure you don’t forget yours. Travel sizes work well, I didn’t use all of mine on our trip.

Shoes: This was hard for me lol. Make sure that you do pack a good pair of flip flops for the beach. Also, a pair of gym shoes if you plan on going on an excursion. We went on a hike in the mountains so they came in handy for that. Also, a pair of dressy shoes if you plan on getting fancy for dinner. We went to a few nice dinners so I brought a cute pair of flat sandals. I’m not a heel girl so that wasn’t even an option for me lol!

Clothing

Tops: 3-4 tops. I brought some for the beach and a few tank tops for when we left the resort.

Shorts: 3 pairs are good. Most of the time you will be relaxing by the beach so you don’t need a ton of shorts. I mainly brought them to the pool with me to change into after getting out of the water.

Dresses/ Dress Clothes: I brought like 7 dresses lol. Don’t be like me, you really don’t need that many. Most all-inclusive resorts do have casual dining during the day so you don’t need to dress up. There are more formal dining opportunities at night. This is where I wore my dresses. For men, a few button-up shirts are good my husband 4 shirts and was good the entire time.

Jacket: I know its hot but sometimes inside of the restaurants it got a little chilly so I brought along my jean jacket just in case.

Underwear: Please don’t forget this one LOL!

Sleepwear: I brought 2 pairs of PJs for my week-long trip so if you plan on staying a short time 1 pair of PJs will do just fine.

Toiletries

Makeup: I brought just some concealer, mascara, and my eyebrow pencil. It’s hot and you probably won’t want on an entire face of makeup during your trip but if you must make sure to bring it along.

Deodorant, toothpaste, razor etc. Please make sure you bring all your toiletries.

Accessories

Backpack: I always take along my backpack everywhere I go. I love the one I received from Baggallini.

I always use my backpack as one of my carry on items.

Jewelry: I recommend leaving valuable jewelry at home. But if you must bring it along make sure you leave it in the safe in your hotel room for safe keeping.

Purses: I brought a small crossbody bag that was great for phone and wallet to fit. You really don’t need a super big purse while on the resort.

Technology

Phone and Charger: This is a must! I also brought a waterproof case for my phone so that if I brought it to the pool it would not be damaged.

Laptop: I brought my laptop along just in case I did a few blog posts, but if you can leave it at home and just enjoy your vacation.

Camera: I brought my camera along with my case for safe keeping. I got some really good photos. So if you plan on documenting your trip your camera is a must!

PRO TIP: So last year when I went to the resort I saw that a lot of travelers brought their own cup. This is actually smart because you can take advantage of the never-ending drinks in your insulated cup and it will stay colder longer! You can get one from Amazon.

Leave These at Home

  • Stress
  • Too man clothes
  • Beach Towels
  • Valuable items

I hope that this list helps you plan for your next beach vacation getaway! Have you stayed at an all-inclusive resort before? What were your thoughts? What did you bring?
