My Favorite Black-Owned Beauty Brands

With a few days left in February, this Black History Month has been a great one. I make sure to show support of Black-Owned businesses in my household 365 days a year I wanted to highlight some of my favorite Black- Owned beauty brands.

I love going to my local Target, CVS, Walgreen’s and Sally’s seeing all of the Black- Owned hair and beauty brands on the shelves. It makes me smile to see how far the beauty industry has come within the past few years. There is so much #BlackGirlMagic in the air and its It’s amazing!

My Favorite Black Owned Beauty Brands

Mielle Organics

Mielle Organics came on the scene in 2014 and quickly made it known that they were here to stay. I love this brand because they use all natural ingredients. Their products work great for my hair. Founded by Monique Rodriguez, Mielle Organics aims to empower, educate and excite. My favorite product from this line the Babassu Mint Oil Deep Conditioner.

Jane Carter Solution

This brand is not new to the natural hair world. Jane Carter was one of the first brands I tried when I first went natural. It’s a brand that I stand behind and trust. Jane herself was a stylist and salon owner for over 20 years. Jane Carter  created her line due to an allergic reaction to a chemical in traditional hair products. I love that Jane Carter uses plant-derived ingredients that are designed for all hair types and textures! No hair type or texture is left out. My favorite products from Jane Carter are the Revitalizing Leave in Conditioner and the Noursih and Shine.

My favorite products from EDEN BodyWorks are the Coconut Shea Leave in conditioner, and the Coconut Shea Curl Defining Creme.

CURLS

Founded in 2002 by Mahisha Dellinger is also one of my favorite brands. CURLS is a brand that continues to maintain the highest standards with quality ingredients and dependable products.
