Disney On Ice Presents Mickey’s Search Party

When I was younger, I remember my mom taking me to Disney On Ice every year when they came to Chicago. Now I get to do the same with Riley and it makes my heart smile!

Last night we went to the opening of Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party. The show opens Jan 24th at the Allstate Arena, with performances there through Sunday, then moves to Chicago’s United Center, Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, before returning to Rosemont for a final week, Feb. 7 to 10.

We attended the VIP pre show which was super cool. Riley got a chance to have storytime with Belle before the show. We also got a chance to meet the star of the show… Mickey Mouse!

The show was so interactive and as always the characters and actors were amazing! We embarked on a quest with Mickey Mouse and his pals as they follow Captain Hook’s treasure map for clues to find Tinker Bell after he attempts to capture her magic! We then took a journey across the Marigold Bridge with Miguel from Disney Pixar’s Coco into the magnificent and mystical Land of the Dead and discover a vibrantly colorful performance with skeletons atop sway poles dancing over the audience in a beautiful cultural celebration of family. We then traveled to the wintry world of Arendelle and sing along with Elsa. Riley really sang her heart out on the Elsa performance! Riley also loved the Moana portion of the show! She was really excited to see some of her favorite Disney princesses! The show also included Aladdin, Toy Story, and beauty and the beast!

Riley also got a chance to be in the show during the Under The Sea portion of the show with Ariel! She got to ride in a submarine with some of the other kids at the show! How cool is that. She was really excited about this part!

If you are looking for a fun time with the family this show is it! Make sure you check it out while it’s in Chicago, or if you are in other states check the dates for performances near your city.
