5 Reasons Why I Crave Benihana

This post is sponsored by Benihana. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Benihana is celebrating their 55th anniversary! This is such an incredible milestone in their business. My family and I had the amazing opportunity to partner with Benihana for their 55th anniversary to tell you all about how much I love Benihana! We visited the Chicago location address 875 N. Michigan Avenue.

Benihana is unique with their original Teppanyaki style of cooking. Teppanyaki means, quite literally, broiled on a steel grill. This is the definition of Japanese Teppanyaki-style cooking in its most simple form. Teppanyaki has evolved over the last hundred years and went from food that was simply “broiled on a steel grill” to something of an art form that Benihana restaurants first introduced to America in 1964. Today, Teppanyaki chefs are performers as well as skilled cooks, delighting diners daily with mouthwatering flavors and jaw-dropping knife skills.

5 Reasons Why I Crave Benihana

The Rice is California- Grown

If you follow me then you know that I love good food. Benihana’s rice is grown in California. Once the rice is mature, each grain is then carefully harvested to ensure it is perfect, tender and fluffy when it is cooked by Benihana chefs. Now my daughter is sort of a rice connoisseur, so she was the real determining factor of how good the rice really tastes. She gave it all thumbs up as the rice was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We love the tricks that the chef did – the beating heart gets us every time!

The Teppanyaki Experience at Benihana is Unlike Any Other

Have you ever been to Benihana? If you haven’t, I highly suggest you add this to your list of must-visit restaurants. At Benihana you get a high-energy entertaining dining event with tricks and visuals that will excite your senses and culminate everything into a delicious meal that your mouth and tummy will enjoy!

The Seafood Is Flavorful Yet Delicate

I’ve been to many restaurants but Benihana is my favorite when it comes to the way they cook their seafood. They remove the lobster from its shell at the grill and prepare it with the most amazing melted butter with a hint of lemon juice for a natural and delicate flavor. If that description does not do it for you then I don’t know what will. The lobster literally melted in my mouth. It was so flavorful and tender. It is a must-have if you visit Benihana.

The Sushi is Amazing with Tons of Healthy Options

I recently tasted sushi for the first time last year and I don’t know why it took me so long to try it out.  Benihana offers fresh healthy meals of fish and steamed rice at only 40 to 160 calories per piece while sashimi is just about 25 calories per piece.

The Entertainment is A+! We Loved the Onion Volcano

Benihana is such a great family-friendly restaurant which is very important to me because we take Riley with us everywhere. We loved how the chef turned the volcano into the “engine” of a veggie train. This made Riley super excited to eat her veggies. Our chef pushed the volcano across the grill while saying “choo choo” – this was so cute and fun for Riley! She really enjoyed the entire show. Benihana hands down has great entertainment for the entire family.

Thank you so much to Benihana for allowing us to share our amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to have a great family meal while also enjoying a great show and delicious food then Benihana is the perfect place.
