Can you believe it’s almost April! If you have been following me then you know that I’ve been vowing to take better care of my skin this year. My self-care game has been super strong this year and I am sticking to it. This includes staying consistent with my skin care regimen. This means continuing to #glowup with my skin care regimen.

It seems like ever since I turned 30, I’ve paid super close attention to my skincare routine and also my overall health. I have been getting facials on a regular basis and also paying attention to my skin and tweaking my skin care regimen to best fit my skin’s needs. Here are a few things that I have been doing to make sure I keep my skin glowing continue to take care of my skin.

Drink LOTS of Water

I’ll admit, this used to be super hard for me. Drinking 8 glasses a water a day seems so daunting. When I was pregnant it was super easy for me because I knew that I had another life inside of me that depended on my water intake. I kept this mindset after giving birth because I know that water is essential and important especially when it comes to your skin. Proper hydration is important on so many levels. Did you know you skin thrives on water intake? Yep, I learned the hard way by breaking out a few weeks ago when I neglected my normal water intake. Note: water is your best friend for everything!

Keep Stress To a Minimum

I know you are wondering how does stress help my routine? Stress causes stress lines and wrinkles on your face. I try to keep my stress low so that I do not cause lines on my face. I noticed that I used to frown a lot and it caused a permanent line on my face. This is a no no.

Getting Enough Rest

My husband and daughter are night owls, but I don’t let that keep me up. I’ve never been one to stay up late but as of lately I have been noticing that I’ve been staying up later and later. Truth is getting a good night’s sleep is a major key for so many things including your skin. I want my skin to continue glowing and looking energized, so getting my 8 hours of sleep a night is a priority of mine. Getting my tasks finished early and getting to bed is a priority.

Taking Care of My Skin
