Supporting The Arts: Harlem Fine Arts Show Chicago

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of COUNTRY Financial . The opinions and text are all mine.

This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to attend the opening Gala for the Harlem Fine Arts Show in Chicago. The Harlem Fine Arts Show (HFAS) is the largest traveling African Diasporic art show in the United States. It began in 2009 and has had over 80,000 visitors, traveled to over 10 cities and showcased over 100 artists and galleries. The mission of the Harlem Fine Arts Show is to create a platform for artists of all genres as well as non-artists to empower themselves through culture, ideas, and the arts around the world. The HFAS aims to provide a platform for African Diasporic visionaries as well as American visual artists, to exhibit and sell their artwork. The HFAS takes pride in the ability  to bring people of all different backgrounds together to help celebrate fine arts of the African Diaspora.

I was invited to attend the HFAS  in Chicago on behalf of COUNTRY Financial. COUNTRY Financial is a proud sponsor of this year’s Harlem Fine Arts Show. COUNTRY Financial is also committed to helping people understand the art of financial literacy

I had an amazing time at the opening night gala. I was so inspired to be around so many creative people. It was an honor to partner with COUNTRY Financial, a brand that is committed to supporting and empowering local communities. I visited the COUNTRY Financial suite where they showcased local Chicago Artist Martha A. Wade. Wade is a self-taught artist who has always carried a deep passion for art making. Her style of painting utilizes whimsical and dreamlike themes of fantasy with a touch of reality. Wade created a live piece of artwork in real-time inside the COUNTRY Financial suite. Wade’s art seeks to uplift spirits by giving a glimpse of what people can achieve at their highest potential. She was such an inspiration to be around and her artwork was simply breathtaking.

Here are a few pieces by Martha A. Wade.

All of the artwork at the HFAS was just amazing. From clay sculptures, paintings, and jewelry the art displayed was beautiful. I am so happy that I was able to attend. A special thank you to COUNTRY Financial! Make sure you check out where the Harlem Fine Arts Show will be next!
