I Hired a Cleaning Service and I’m Not Ashamed!

“Girl, what’s wrong with you?” Did you hire a cleaning service? Yes, I sure did, and I am not ashamed. Growing up all I can remember my mom doing was cleaning our house, so naturally, I thought I was supposed to follow in her footsteps and do the same. Spending my Saturday mornings cleaning my house until I couldn’t clean anymore was not fun at all.

Let’s be honest, I HATE CLEANING! I have a toddler, and a husband and my house is not squeaky clean all the time. I used to get so mad at myself because my house was not up to the standards that I thought it should be, or “others” thought it should be. Who is judging my house? You really shouldn’t be if you are.

I do make sure to keep the kitchen and bathroom tidy and presentable in case of random company. I only deep clean about once a week, if that. I loathe cleaning toilets, mopping, and everything else. So I am not going to front, I hired a cleaning service to clean my house regularly.

I know most think its a luxury or that I am lazy by hiring a cleaning service but listen, Linda, I did, and I am not sorry. I am not sorry that I don’t want to spend my Saturday’s cleaning, I am not sorry that I want to sit with my feet up and relax and watch TV or read my favorite book if I want. I am not sorry at all! So don’t judge me ok. Thanks!

Seriously if you are thinking of hiring a cleaning service, here are some legit reasons for you.

  1. You hate cleaning. If you are like me then hey go for it.
  2. You like things really clean! Cleaning services are guaranteed to get your house spotless so yeah, I like when then clean.
  3. You don’t have the time. I am a working mom who travels a lot. I just simply don’t have the time most of the time, and I am ok with that.
  4. You want to spend more time with your family. Cleaning takes up a lot of time and energy, and if you rather spend time with your family instead of doing so, I am not judging.

Have you ever hired a cleaning service? If so what are your thoughts?

You’re preaching to the choir girl! Soon after my daughter was born we got a cleaner and we haven’t looked back since.

As much as I love cl… oh wait, I don’t! lol.

It got to the point where I had too much on, and if you can get someone in to help every now and then, why not.
