Last week I had the opportunity to attend an amazing event on behalf of Strength of Nature, Dress for Success Summit Chicago. Dress for success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. This organization began in 1997 and has expanded to almost 150 cities in 20 countries which have helped more than 925,000 women work towards self-sufficiency. Today more than 10,000 women and men generously donate their time and talents to our affiliates every year.
Strength of Nature is a proud Partner and sponsor of Dress for Success. Strength of Nature Global, LLC is the 2016 Success Summit Legacy Sponsor. This partnership includes sponsoring 10 Dress for Success delegates to attend the 2016 Summit, along with in-kind product donations to Dress for Success affiliates worldwide. Strength of Nature is the leading manufacturer of quality, affordably priced hair care products for women of color and women with hair of all textures.
I attended a workshop featuring Tasheara Neshell Celebrity Hairstylist and Educator. She indeed dropped gems on the importance of your hair in the workplace. She gave tips on how to wear your hair in the workplace, for interviews, and overall how to care for your hair. She brought up a great point about heat damage. Someone in the audience asked a question about using heat everyday, which in turn can lead to heat damaged hair, this was a major key point discussed during the workshop. Check out a clip of her workshop below.
