Let me tell you the Qhemet Biologics Aethiopika Hydrate and Twist Butter didn’t disappoint!!! This stuff is MAGICAL! LOL I got the best twist out EVER!!!! And my hair is still soft and hydrated, and well defined when I took the twists out. Now…. it is hard to find! Check your local health foods store, check their site to see if they have a retailer near you. But YES this stuff is good!

Description:

Use this thick, rich butter to soften and maintain twists, braids and loose hair! Ideal for dry, highly porous hair! Use as a body butter too! NEW SCENT!

Product Description

  • Softens thick, extra dry hair with an ultra rich blend of Pure Olive Oil, Mango Butter and Rice Bran Oil! A touch of plant wax helps reduce frizz and smooths edges and soy extract adds humectancy. Use sparingly. A little goes a long way.
    * The Aethiopika Butter shipped after approximately 6/25 is slightly softer than previous batches per customer feedback. New scent as of 8/26/11.

    • Does not contain mineral oil, lanolin, proteins, silicones, essential oils or parabens.
    • 100% Vegetarian.
    • Moderately fragrant scent.
    • Directions: Dig in with finger tip and scoop out a dime sized amount. Rub between palms and evenly distribute through damp or dry sectioned hair before locing, twisting or braiding. For loose hair, rub between palms and evenly distribute through damp or dry hair.
    • An uneven surface or mottled coloration is the result of high temperature pouring and uneven cooling. This is not indicative of a formula change nor will it affect performance.

Hair twisted:

Twist out: (taken down after 4 days twsited)

    Hey Chelle,
Quick question did you find this product to be heavy on your hair or light. I wanted to try it but my hair is “fine” in texture so heavy products don’t work as well just wanted to get the scoop before I buy it.
    Thanks

Hi Angel! No I dont find it to be heavy. I have really thick hair though so it may be different for you. I love it though!!! 🙂

I have to agree with you! This product is awesome. I have super kinky and dry hair and when I used it to twist for the first time yesterday, my hair felt really soft and hydrated. I love the smell of it as well. This is going to be my staple butter.

OMG your twist out is beautiful on here! Good to see that her products are available in other places because I was for sure upset when I couldn’t order from the site last week! I ended up stumbling upon a new line, Rockin’ Naturals and needed a butter replacement. I got their whip appeal buttercream hair frosting and the moisture is AMAZING. Now I prefer this over my aethiopike twist butter! http://www.rockinnatural.com/#!condition-me/c1yc2

I hope that the qhemet site opens back up.
